They took the kids on a trip to North Wales to visit an old castle, some caves and to walk in the hills, Scotland Road Free School, Liverpool 1971. Also known as the Scotland Road or Scottie Road Free School it was founded and run by two teachers, John Ord and Bill Murphy (if I've got these names wrong, please tell me!) who worked with truanting kids and provided somewhere to go and things to do. They begged and borrowed an old building, desks, books and an old ambulance for trips.
